February 2009

We had a Super Bowl party at our house. The girls were only excited about the 3D commercials at half-time. Well, we were disappointed...definitely not what we thought it would be. But the glasses were fun and I know we all looked really stupid sitting around the living room sporting our 3D glasses.

Conner refuses to give up his baby swing. So, you see we know have two.

10 months is not a good age to try to get pictures outside. Cade tried to eat everything and after choking on a leaf, we gave up and went inside!

Wade's mini-me!

Happy 3rd Birthday Conner!!! Conner turned 3 on 2/6/09 and we took a chance and had a party at the park in Nashville. It turned out great, the weather couldn't have been better. He got lots of gifts and a John Deere Gator. His eyes lit up when he saw it. He's not the best driver yet, he pays more attention to who's looking at him than where he's going. He's taken out several trees and bushes around the house already. I think we'll be keeping it in turtle speed for awhile!!
When I have time, I'll post some pictures of my birthday. Me, Wade, and our friends went to the Dog Track in Monticello, FL. We didn't win big, but we had a great time. I'm knocking on 30 and NOT liking it at all!!!

My babies!!

I took Conner and Cade to the circus in Nashville (oh yes, Nashville had a circus!). Cade enjoyed it, but Conner was a whole other story. He cried as soon as we walked in when he saw the ponies. He cried when the clown squirted us with water and any time there was fire. We were about 15 minutes in to it and he said "Mama, ready to go home?" We stayed for the whole show which lasted about 2 hours and he warmed up to it towards the end. I didn't get a picture of him b/c he was glued to my lap, but I did manage to get a picture of Cade with his cousins, Maddie and Kyndall.
I'm thinking of taking up a new hobby...I talked Wade into buying my first professional camera. I haven't gotten it yet so no, these pictures were not made with it. But, this is what I do to my poor kids when I "set of my studio" as Wade says. They will really hate me when I get the camera!!

Once he found the buckles, the "photo session" was over!!

Peyton and Cade at our Super Bowl party. I love this face!

He refused to leave the hat on long enough for me to take his picture.

My cowboy in his favorite hiding spot...behind the loveseat. I don't even want to know what's all back there!

I bribed Conner with Scooby fruit snacks to wear this duck costume. You can see he didn't like it but will do basically anything for junk food.

It's very rare that we get a picture with both of the boys looking.

Our 2009 so far...

Happy New Year!!! Wade was on call New Year's Eve so we couldn't get far from home. We asked some friends to come over and help us celebrate. We even made it to midnight! We set the timer on my camera and got a group picture.
Me, Brandy, Briana, and Christy
Oh yes, we even made the guys pose!!
Derrick, Curry, Wade (with his eyes closed of course!), and Ken
I decided it was time to claim my bedroom back and move Cade to his room (he's almost 9 months old now). He has been sleeping in our room in his bed since he was born. Well, the first night he did okay and I only had to put the pacifier in his mouth once at 5:00. The second night was horrible...he cried out every 2 hours. The third night was cut short because our electricity went out and the monitor of course didn't work. Well, needless to say, he is back in our room sleeping soundly again!

I had to get some picture of my chunky man in his birthday suit! Cade is quite the poser...he did this totally on his own.

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We definitely made the most of it....we stretched it out for one whole week. We stayed on the go, but we enjoyed spending time with the family. We are so thankful for everyone in our lives. We are truly blessed!

Wade worked out of town in Boca Raton, FL the week before Christmas so I had the boys all to myself. I found out what it's like to be a single mother....I don't know how some women do it! I'm so glad I have Wade to help with the boys. They look happy here, but they were actually sick. Cade had RSV and Conner just got a bad cold from it.

Towards the end of the week, Cade caught a virus and of course, I got it.

I think this was the ONLY cold morning we had before Christmas.

I had to take Cade back to the doctor Tuesday to make sure the RSV and ear infection were gone. We stopped by Nana's house on the way home. We bribed Conner and Kyndall with candy to pose for us in front of the tree.

Kaydence wasn't too happy with the picture taking. They are both 8 months old here.

I take advantage of every opportunity to get a picture of the boys together!

We took our 4 wheeler out to the country on Christmas Eve. We had Christmas with Daddy's family at Mandy's house.

Mama and Kaydence (I think she looks like her Nana!)

Cade and Daddy (I think he looks like his Papa!)

Getting alittle help from Daddy

I forgot to take their presents from Granny with us, so we told Conner he could open his when we got home. He didn't fall asleep all the way home!

A little Sleepy Head on Christmas morning. I ended up having to wake him up at 9:30. I kept telling him that Santa came and left presents thinking it would get him up. He just smiled and nodded and went back to sleep.

Cade's first Christmas!! He loved to eat and rattle the wrapping paper!

We went to Mama and Daddy's on Christmas night to open presents with my parents and sisters. Cade loved his car from Nana and Papa!

My Aunt Sherry, Zach, and Kelly came down from North Carolina on Friday. So we went back to Mandy's to have Christmas with my mama's family. Here's Conner with Kyndall and Maddie.

Now the whole clan!!

I don't know how Cade ended up halfway under the couch.

Our last stop was Wade's mama's on Saturday night. Cade's getting alittle help from Papa Rice. It was bedtime when we started opening presents, so he was not having the whole Christmas thing!!

Conner and Alex

Nanny got Alex and Conner matching Lightning McQueen blankets and pillows. So I had to take their picture "sleeping". This lasted about 30 seconds!

Helen, GA 12-08

Helen Christmas Parade

Conner didn't mind the fake Santa.

Cade was amazed by Santa and his beard. It took us awhile to get him to look at us. Conner wouldn't dare sit in Santa's lap and cried for Cade when he was sitting with him. I guess he thought Santa would hurt his little brother!

Bad idea...this was taken just seconds before Conner let go of Cade and he hit the ground. Luckily, he wasn't hurt...Monica broke his fall.

Our family at Anna Ruby Falls. We had the boys so bundled up they could barely move. It was so cold!!

My sweet baby boys!!

Monica, Chase, and Michael

Shannon, Landon, and Shannon

We took a trip up to the Georgia mountains last weekend with Shannon, Shannon, Michael, and Monica. We were brave...we had 4 boys under the age of 4! They got along great and had a good time also. The guys went fishing with not alot of luck, but we had enough for supper the last night! We took the kids to the Christmas parade in downtown Helen then tackled the "hike" up to see Anna Ruby Falls. Let's just say I won't be doing that again with two strollers!! Our cabin was so nice and secluded. It was a nice trip, Helen is a beautiful place.
