Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We definitely made the most of it....we stretched it out for one whole week. We stayed on the go, but we enjoyed spending time with the family. We are so thankful for everyone in our lives. We are truly blessed!

Wade worked out of town in Boca Raton, FL the week before Christmas so I had the boys all to myself. I found out what it's like to be a single mother....I don't know how some women do it! I'm so glad I have Wade to help with the boys. They look happy here, but they were actually sick. Cade had RSV and Conner just got a bad cold from it.

Towards the end of the week, Cade caught a virus and of course, I got it.

I think this was the ONLY cold morning we had before Christmas.

I had to take Cade back to the doctor Tuesday to make sure the RSV and ear infection were gone. We stopped by Nana's house on the way home. We bribed Conner and Kyndall with candy to pose for us in front of the tree.

Kaydence wasn't too happy with the picture taking. They are both 8 months old here.

I take advantage of every opportunity to get a picture of the boys together!

We took our 4 wheeler out to the country on Christmas Eve. We had Christmas with Daddy's family at Mandy's house.

Mama and Kaydence (I think she looks like her Nana!)

Cade and Daddy (I think he looks like his Papa!)

Getting alittle help from Daddy

I forgot to take their presents from Granny with us, so we told Conner he could open his when we got home. He didn't fall asleep all the way home!

A little Sleepy Head on Christmas morning. I ended up having to wake him up at 9:30. I kept telling him that Santa came and left presents thinking it would get him up. He just smiled and nodded and went back to sleep.

Cade's first Christmas!! He loved to eat and rattle the wrapping paper!

We went to Mama and Daddy's on Christmas night to open presents with my parents and sisters. Cade loved his car from Nana and Papa!

My Aunt Sherry, Zach, and Kelly came down from North Carolina on Friday. So we went back to Mandy's to have Christmas with my mama's family. Here's Conner with Kyndall and Maddie.

Now the whole clan!!

I don't know how Cade ended up halfway under the couch.

Our last stop was Wade's mama's on Saturday night. Cade's getting alittle help from Papa Rice. It was bedtime when we started opening presents, so he was not having the whole Christmas thing!!

Conner and Alex

Nanny got Alex and Conner matching Lightning McQueen blankets and pillows. So I had to take their picture "sleeping". This lasted about 30 seconds!

Helen, GA 12-08

Helen Christmas Parade

Conner didn't mind the fake Santa.

Cade was amazed by Santa and his beard. It took us awhile to get him to look at us. Conner wouldn't dare sit in Santa's lap and cried for Cade when he was sitting with him. I guess he thought Santa would hurt his little brother!

Bad idea...this was taken just seconds before Conner let go of Cade and he hit the ground. Luckily, he wasn't hurt...Monica broke his fall.

Our family at Anna Ruby Falls. We had the boys so bundled up they could barely move. It was so cold!!

My sweet baby boys!!

Monica, Chase, and Michael

Shannon, Landon, and Shannon

We took a trip up to the Georgia mountains last weekend with Shannon, Shannon, Michael, and Monica. We were brave...we had 4 boys under the age of 4! They got along great and had a good time also. The guys went fishing with not alot of luck, but we had enough for supper the last night! We took the kids to the Christmas parade in downtown Helen then tackled the "hike" up to see Anna Ruby Falls. Let's just say I won't be doing that again with two strollers!! Our cabin was so nice and secluded. It was a nice trip, Helen is a beautiful place.
